Code Enforcement

Code Enforcement is part of the City that works with residents and businesses of Dayton to promote awareness and encourage compliance of the Municipal Codes.  Our focus is to help residents identify possible code violations and to help assist in solutions to correct those issues.

 

Nuisances include problems such as: 

  • Tall Grass and Weeds
  • Junk
  • Barking Dogs
  • Improper Posting of Signs & Notices

 

Other types of nuisances we investigate include:

  • Storing RV's, Trailers, Boats and Trucks in Residential Zones
  • Graffiti
  • Prohibited Parking in Public Right-of-Ways
  • Inoperable Vehicles Stored in Residential Neighborhoods
  • Zoning Issues; such as erecting Fences without a permit
  • Business Registrations
  • Sidewalks that are broken or uneven, creating a hazard
  • Curfew Violations
  • Animal Complaints
  • Noise
  • Other concerns affecting safety and quality of life
