What do you love most about Dayton?
Its sense of community.

Do you have a particular area or passion regarding your work on the City Council?
I like a lot of it, but I really now appreciate the importance of long-term planning and long-term strategizing by our local government.

Who inspires you to be better?
I have a number of mentors and role models. Rather than name them, let us just say I am inspired by people who have clear vision, clear values and integrity.

What is the last adventure you went on?
I am not as adventurous as I used to be, but we enjoy traveling to new and different places. A few months ago, my wife and I went on vacation in the Mojave desert just outside of Joshua Tree National Park. I hiked into a lovely desert canyon early one morning. I was the only human in the entire canyon. I got some great video with my drone there. We also got to enter the National Park several times for free, since the federal government was shut down at the time and the park was relatively-empty, which was fine with us!

If you were given 10 million dollars to spend on Dayton, how would you spend it?
I would buy our community a a sequential batch reactor activated sludge wastewater treatment plant with a peak instantaneous flow of 3 MGD! :-)
