    The Tourism/Economic Development Coordinator is a new position for the City of Dayton. This position will determine overall objectives and actions plans to increase tourism and economic development in Dayton, Oregon. Collaborating with businesses, property owners, the Dayton Community Development Association, and other downtown stakeholders to revitalize, market and promote our historic downtown. This position will also manage communications for the City.

    Maintenance Operator I - Dayton, Oregon

    The Maintenance Operator (MO) 1 is the first and starting level in a multi-tiered career path for maintenance and construction of public works that include roadways, water distribution and treatment, storm water management, and sewer collection systems and treatment, parks and facilities. Maintenance Operator 1 will be qualified to participate with Maintenance Operator 2 in any skill area, however, will concentrate on general labor and use of hand tools and light duty equipment. Advancement to MO 2, requires a minimum of two years as a MO1 or equivalent. The MO1 must have the ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions; work independently in performance of regular assignments; maintain good working relationships with other employees, supervisors and the public; perform physical tasks in adverse weather conditions; operate all city equipment; and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
