Library Front Door Pickup and Home Delivery

Beginning June 1st, the library will be offering pickup of items on hold at our curb or via home delivery to our Dayton patrons! 

 

Initially we will be filling holds from our collection only. Once the CCRLS courier is up and running again, we will be able to fill holds from across the consortium. If you had items on hold when we closed, we can deliver them to you or you can make an appointment to pick them up at our curb. 

 

Once you have placed your hold on the Chemeketa Cooperative Regional Library Service site, fill out the form below to select home delivery or front door pickup. 

 

We apologize, but we are still not able to accept returns at this time. Pickup and delivery is limited to ten items total.

Have you placed a hold on items on the CCRLS website? Please note you must place a hold on items on the CCRLS website. If you cannot use the CCRLS site, please let us know what items you'd like in the box below, along with your library card number.

Which service would you prefer? All dates will be determined via email.

All other holds will be pulled and prepared in the the order that they are received.

How pickup at our door will work:

  • you will place books on hold through the CCRLS website, or by email/chat with the librarian
  • we will pull your materials from our shelves to verify that we have the item(s)
  • we will check the item(s) out to you and pack them up
  • as we begin this process, we will begin with pickups on Monday and Wednesday. Feel free to request a particular day if one works better for you.
  • appointment times will be between 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. 
  • appointments will be scheduled according to the number of pickups in a given day and staff availability
  • appointments will be scheduled to allow time to clean and prepare for the next patron to arrive
  • when you arrive at the library, please call 503-864-2221 and let us know that you have arrived
  • we will bring your items to your vehicle. Please have your trunk or hatch open, and a please remain in your vehicle.

How home delivery will work:

  • you will place books on hold through the CCRLS website, or by email/chat with the librarian
  • we will pull your materials from our shelves to verify that we have the item(s)
  • we will check the item(s) out to you and pack them up
  • delivery days will depend upon staff resources and demand from the community. We will email you to let you know when you can expect your books to be delivered. Delivery times will be between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. 
  • your order will be delivered in a paper bag with a compostable plastic bag inside (just in case it rains!)
  • we will place the bag on your doorstep and ring the doorbell or knock on the door
  • if you don't think that you will be home when we bring your items, please respond to your email confirmation and let us know if there is a secure or hidden spot where we can leave the items. If not, we can re-schedule your delivery.
